Terry is the most outgoing and friendly Rational. He is the charmer with the quick, warrn smile that seems to be meant especially for whoever catches it. He is easily the most gullible Rational, and can be made to believe almost anything, yet his sincerity cannot be doubted, and time and time again saves him from appearing in-credibly naive or extremely foolish. Terry is quick to laugh, and In fact, his over-whelming ability to howl, giggle, chuckle, guffaw, and every other degree of einotion expressing humor have given rise to many "in" jokes.
Terry tends to worry the most about anything, especially whether he has made the right decision at particular times, and also about the image and public behavior of The Rationals. He, above all, knows and appreciates the fans, and sincerely care about them, sometimes to a degree both foolish and unrealistic. Terry in also the only Rational with that unique ability to remember names.
Terry is very concerned with appearances and strives to constantly look his best. He is, Jeep claims, like all bass players: crazy as they come. Switching from one side of an argument to another day to day, and going from one extreme ornotion to the other in the wink of an eye is a basic ohftracteriatio of his. He loves sports cars, The Beatles, hot roast beef sandwiches, milk by the gallon, flirtatious girls, being accepted by the other Rationals, teen magazines . with all of the "latest scoop instrument catalogs, and just about every type of bass guitar ever made.
Terry is always a little bit late in arrival with that sheepish grin of his, and constantly behind in anything, whether it be answering fan mail or reading a chapter for the next day's classes, Terry long ago gave up any hope of ever understanding how or where he misplaces things, and holds some sort of record for having lost five driver' s licenses, eight wallets, four pairs of pants, four or five shirts, two turtlenecks, two sweaters, every textbook he's ever had, and three bass guitars. His ability to spend money and never know where it went is legendary. But, no matter what he does, once he gives you that famous Trabandt smile, you'll forgive everything.
Terry' a pals and demands in life are very basic and down-to-earth. His oldest secret ambition ranging from way back in junior high is to open a record shop with Steve. His bass playing is considered to be the best in the Midwest, and is copied constantly.
Despite all of Terry' s unchanging emotions and habits, we note one constantly changing characteristic that is a source of disbelief and wonder: his hairstyle. Rumor has it that he is now attempting to follow in the patterns of one Jimi Hendrix. Who can tell? Really?
