Bill is the oldest, most sarcastic, most reserved, and relatively unknown Rational. He would much rather slip over to the side with a lovely thing of the moment and watch the kids and The Rationals than actually be in the mid-dle until they are on stage. Bill doesn't mix well, and although he doesn't actually dislike many people, he doesn't feel comfortable in crowds unless he is somehow hidden, unobserved, or completely above the common denominator.
Bill is surprisingly gentle underneath that rough man of the world exterior, and is capable of a great deal of understanding and insight. He is easily the most avid Rational Promoter and worries about their success or failure almost 100% of his time. Bill likes to put on an air of disdain and caustic indifference while all the time he is perhaps more aware than anyone else as to the true pulse of the crowd around him.
Bill feels his responsibility as the oldest member a great deal more than the other members realize. He is often the one dissenting voice that keeps the beautifully inflated dream clouds of Morgan and Correll from drifting away with the group, and Bill' s hard core common sense has aided the group more than once.
Bill is also the Casanova without equal. It's really simple to hear him tell it: he digs girls, and they dig him. Bill is often a mystery to those who know him best. often his moods defy any known facts. Bill loves motorcycles, good cars, good food, efficiency, The Young Rascals, success, and almost all pretty girls.
Bill has the most obnoxious sense of humor in the group due to its directness. Little gets by Bill, and all too often that embarrassing goof which you hoped was overlooked is gleefully brought to everyone' s attention by none other than Mr. Figg.
The other night at a Rationals' engagement, a strange young fan was seen passing out "I Digg Figg" buttons. When asked about this, Bill had no commenents .....
